In the recent past, Chris Ruthnaswamy MBA, DIT (iift) CMC, FRAS has consulted for Nuance, Zurich a billion $ company reputed to be the largest duty free operator world-wide for their India operations and was instrumental in tie-up with Shoppers Shop an Indian retail giant and Nuance, Zurich largely owned by Steffanel and Grupo Pam, Italy which is one of the few successful international retail tie-ups till date in the Indian travel retail sector.
Chris’s previous experience in import operations was with India Tourism Development Corporation(ITDC), New Delhi as Vice - President holding dual charge as Vice - President (International Trade) as well as heading the Travel & Transport Division as Vice - President (Ashok Travels & Tours) handling marketing , PR, finance, HR and purchase functions overseeing more than 800 people. During his tenure his organisation ITDC saw the highest sale of imported products in nearly all the metros in 13 locations with 37 outlets reaching US$ 40 m per annum. Chris has been associated with Ministry of Tourism, Ministry of Civil Aviation, Airport Authority of India and other related bodies.
In 2007 Ruthnaswamy & Associates was founded it dealing in products, consultancy in airport retail, training, travel and educational products.
Chris’s years of experience goes back to more than 25 years starting with EMMS, New Delhi an export - import consulting firm, as Branch Manager, Mumbai then with reputed Indian companies like Kirloskars, Pune, Raunaq International, New Delhi and Greaves Cotton & Co.Ltd, Mumbai (the then 4th largest group in India).After a successful stint with Exporissa an export house as Deputy General Manager, joined India Tourism Development Corporation (see previous paragraph)
MBA with a specialisation in International Trade at the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, New Delhi, one of the top 10 management institutes in India, Chris is currently visiting Professor - Marketing at the University of Delhi and has been associated with other educational institutions too. During the past year he has been invited for talks from institutions in UK, Australia and Malaysia

C. R. Khanna has 25 years experience in promoting institutional sales and merchandising of international brands of liquor, wines and lifestyle luxury products in India. Has worked for long periods with United Breweries, Seagrams, Van ceam (Dutch Joint venture in India) and DCM Daurala. Has launched and firmly established as market leader many international brands in India. Last assignment was as Vice-President of a Liquor Bonded warehouse operation in Delhi. At present, Market Adviser and Country Representative to wine and food Companies from France, Italy, Australia and the US.
Ms. Divyatej Mantri
Divyatej Mantri has 37 years experience in Duty free trade. She worked as a Manager in ITDC Duty Free shop, Mumbai. Her scope of work was Product marketing coordination of work with all levels should readoverseeing accounts and finance, display management,monitoring stocks, customs clearance, excise and sales tax matters. She has handled institutional sales in the domestic market for liquor and wines.
She received training from Heinneman both in Frankfurt and Zurich.
